Qualified Accountant

Part time or full time considered

Your duties will include, although will not be limited to:

  • Producing financial accounts for a wide range of businesses including limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, charities, etc.
  • Managing your workflow and attending planning meetings
  • Preparing VAT returns, corporation tax returns and self-assessment returns
  • Providing a management accounts service to clients

Our Requirements

  • Proven experience gained within a private accountancy practice environment
  • Fully Qualified, either ACCA, ICAEW or ICAS
  • Understand the importance of providing outstanding levels of customer service
  • Strong team player and self-motivated to constantly improve your skills
  • Excellent IT skills with working knowledge of practice computerised accounting systems, cloud, and desktop bookkeeping such as Xero, SAGE, QuickBooks etc. and Microsoft 365

The Package

Trainee or part-qualified accountant

Part time or full time considered

You will be responsible for assisting with preparation of accounts ranging from straightforward income and expenditure statements to accounts of limited companies.

This is a mixed role whereby the successful accountant will be hands on with the following:

  • Accounts preparation
  • Bookkeeping
  • Management accounts
  • VAT
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns

Key Responsibilities

Generally assisting clients, directors, and work colleagues to deal with all client and internal matters to promote the smooth and efficient running of the office and work environment.

General support and assistance to the directors.

Attending courses and keeping up to date with new developments in law, tax, accounting regulations and software, as appropriate and helping colleagues keep up to date.

Any other duties or responsibilities as required by the directors.

Required Skills

Must have accountancy, finance or business qualifications ideally to degree level.

Some practice experience is essential for this role.

Strong team player and self-motivated to constantly improve your skills.

Excellent IT understanding & demonstratable skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Motivated and driven, have proven organisational and academic skills.
